刘震云,1958年出生于中国河南省,著名作家,茅盾文学奖得主。

中国一些作家致力于寻找中国的新农村文化,而刘震云则更关注用双手深深触摸中国城市的脉搏。

他的获奖短篇小说探究关于中国国有公司和政府的生活,他最著名的小说《我叫刘跃进》,讲述了一个移民工人在北京偷走自己所有包袱(包括自己的言语财富)的故事。他的冷幽默和关于农村社会广博的知识,以及他对当代社会感知度,使他在读者中广受欢迎。

Brief Introduction of Writer Liu Zhenyun

 

Liu Zhenyun, a Chinese writer of many bestselling novels. He is one of the most famous and award-winning writers in contemporary China.

 

Liu’s works include novels such as Hometown, Regime and Blood <故乡天下黄花>, Anecdotes in the Hometown <故乡相处流传>, Material and Spirit in the Hometown <故乡面和花朵>, Nonsense Talk <一腔废话>, Cell Phone <手机>, The Cook, the Crook, and the Real Estate Tycoon <我叫刘跃进>, Someone to Talk To <一句顶一万句>, I Did Not Kill My Husband <我不是潘金莲>; Short stories such as A Small Town: Tapu <塔铺>, Recruits <新兵连>, The Office <单位>, Ground Covered with Chicken Feathers <一地鸡毛>, Remembering 1942 <温故一九四二>. Throughout the years, Liu’s works have been translated into English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Czech, Dutch, Russian, Hungarian, Serbian, Arabic, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and other languages.

 

Someone to Talk To <一句顶一万句> was awarded with Mao Dun Literature Prize in 2011. It has been sold more than 1.6 million copies. I Did Not Kill My Husband sold more than 1.3 million copies.

 

Many of Liu’s books have been adapted into TV series and movies, including A Small Town: Tapu <塔铺>, Ground Covered with Chicken Feathers <一地鸡毛>, The Cook, the Crook, and the Real Estate Tycoon <我叫刘跃进>, Remembering 1942 <温故一九四二>, Someone to Talk To <一句顶一万句>, and I Did Not Kill My Husband <我不是潘金莲>. 刘雨霖导演 中文简介

 

刘雨霖,电影导演,1987年出生于中国北京,毕业于美国纽约大学电影学院研究生院。27岁时,凭借其执导的电影短片《门神》(Door God), 获得奥斯卡(学生单元)短片奖, 是中国大陆第一个获得奥斯卡奖的导演。《门神》同时入围了美国导演工会、法国戛纳电影节、日本东京电影节等50多个知名电影节,获得了包括最佳短片、最佳导演、最佳剧本、最佳女演员、最受观众欢迎奖、评委会大奖等10多个国际奖项。

Yulin Liu (劉雨霖), a film director

She was born in 1987 in Beijing, China. She received her BA degree in Television and Journalism at Communication University of China in Beijing, and she received her MFA degree in Filmmaking from Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. In 2014, her shorts film DOOR GOD wins the 41st Student Academy Awards (Oscar®) in Narrative Category,among 10 other international awards including best short film, best director, best screenplay and best actress, and it was also selected for more than 50 film festivals around world.

Yulin’s first feature film SOMEONE TO TALK TO, which is adapted from an awarded book of the same name by her father, Zhenyun Liu, which is highly regarded as one of the greatest modern literatures. This film has been released in the movie theaters worldwide in Nov.2016, and has been selected into more than 10 top film festivals (main competition) around world, including Busan International Film Festival, Cairo International Film Festival, Golden Horse International Awards, Berlin International Film Festival, etc.

Yulin, as a Chinese born filmmaker, traveling between Eastern and Western continents for many years, she has been exposed to different worldviews, perspectives and new methodologies to make sense of what she sees. The two cultures and philosophies have melded together and taken residence in her. They drive her to make films that reveal her new realizations about people, about life; tell touching stories and emotions that have been neglected by this world.
